"In the ocean of Chinese plastic and local kitsch this place is a true gem in the old quarter. We stumbled upon in accidentally and the name intrigued us so we walked in. We met the artist and his daughters and chatted with them for a brief moment. The pieces are incredible and look unreal. Pictures won't give them any justice. I would absolutely love to own a sculpture from this artist. What a talent!"

"This place is absolutely incredible. My boyfriend has traveled 23 countries and he says this is the most beautiful wood carving establishment he’s ever seen. Him and his father also do furniture making so they have an extreme appreciation for the art. He also said had he known this was here before we came to Vietnam that he would’ve saved up for one of his larger pieces rather than a large painting her purchased prior to finding this place. We went in and fell in love but didn’t think we could really afford anything in the store. The prices were very reasonable but we just hadn’t planned for it. So we left and slept on it. The whole night and next day I just kept saying how much I loved one piece in particular so we had to go back and get it. Of course, the man who owns the shop is incredibly nice and he remembered us from the day before. He gave us a small discount which was more than expected since we had already decided we wanted that piece prior to even knowing how much it was. We didn’t have enough cash so my boyfriend had to run to an ATM. While he was gone the owner invited me up to his living room for tea and cookies. We had a wonderful time having conversation about his work and Vietnamese traditions as opposed to American traditions. Of course it was all over google translate but wow he’s an incredible artist and human. It was truly an honor and a privilege to have a piece of this man’s hard work. His years of excellence truly shines through his work and his passion in person! If you’re in Hanoi or plan to be at some point make sure to check this shop out. Even if you don’t want to buy anything from him, the experience alone is worth a look! He is incredible!"
